‘Faith Through Every Cycle’ — Anna’s Story
When a routine mammogram found a small mass, Anna felt the ground shift under her feet. Biopsy confirmed early-stage breast cancer. With her care team, she chose lumpectomy followed by chemotherapy and radiation.
“Chemo days were hard,” she says, “but I kept a journal of small wins — a walk outside, a good meal, a call with a friend.” Her church community organized rides and meal trains. Side effects were managed with medications and rest, and she learned to advocate for herself at every appointment.
Today, Anna celebrates five years cancer-free. Her message: “Early detection and support saved my life. Please schedule your screening and let people help you.”
“Talking about it saved me. My buddy convinced me to see the urologist.”

After a rising PSA, Michael was diagnosed with localized prostate cancer. He weighed options and chose robotic surgery. Pelvic floor therapy, patience, and support from his spouse helped him regain confidence.
He reminds other men: get screened, ask questions, and lean on your team. “I’m hiking again and chasing grandkids — life is good.”
